I have had so much to blog about lately and just not the time to do it! I guess that whole thing about life goes by so fast when you get older is true. I imagine when you have children the speed just continues to accelerate!
Life in Blacksburg.. well life in Blacksburg and married life have been treating me well... well maybe married life has.. not so much Blacksburg... its so stinkin cold up here! I was sick on and off for several weeks then only to have Darryl come down with the same symptoms which of course makes a grown "man" act like a two year old boy. haha.. it wasn't THAT bad... but it was defin. a sick house here for a while. The strange weather and wind has taken its toll but i am holding strong now!
Our Halloween was spent trick or treating for can food with 6 youth from the middle school bible study. I spent my night dressed as a cat walking around with Flavor Flave, a Pink Lady and Darth Vader. We loaded up the back end of Darryl's car and got quite a bit of candy in the process. Afterwards Darryl, Drew and myself went over to a youth's house who was hosting a Halloween party for some of the high school girls. If you'll take note of the black and bloody guy in the background (that's Drew) he stood outside of the basement door (where the party was going on) with his hockey mask and scared the crap out of the girls... one in particular cried... it was awesome.. haha. She laughed about it later don't worry. I also might add I was the fasted at bobbing for Apples... it may have something to do with my big mouth but either way I put Darryl to shame (he took the longest!)
I've decided if you can't beat 'em you might as well (join 'em) dress yourself in a fashion so as not to GET beat... this being in reference to the Hokie Mania up here which one must fight with all their might... or give up and adorn themselves with maroon and orange (see picture below)
We will be heading to the McCallums for Thanksgiving tomorrow and then down to the good ole High Point of US of A Thursday evening.... hoping and praying Chad will have left some fried turkey leftovers for us!!
Happy Turkey Day!
