Darryl was in a wedding recently for his best friend Craig. Rather than driving back and forth to the wedding rehearsal on friday and the ceremony on Saturday Darryl suprised me with a "date night" to The Hotel Roanoke. The historic hotel was absolutly beautiful inside and out!
My favorite part of our small cozy room was the soft bed, "Sweet Dreams" pillow, and the cookies! :)
Of course Darryl's favorite part of the room was the new flat screen TV.
Darryl and I stepped out from the smokey Pub room and played a mean game of checkers while sipping on free drinks... yes I drank my first non-virgin strawberry daiquiri (someone should be proud).. compliments of the EMS fellows from New York who were staying the night during their memorial weekend bike ride... and by fellows I mean at least 50-60 big Brookyln type guys from New York. The EMS guys...men... ran an open tab for who knows how long.. but all I know is the receipt was about 4+ feet long when they closed it out!
I never thought a tux with a bow tie and cumber bun (yes you heard me right) would look so good... maybe its because i was bias of who it was on :)
See... such a handsome boy :)
The End :)
and such a beautiful bride! the wedding was wonderful... and the couple, who both have just finished their Master of Divinity degrees, served communion to everyone at the wedding and will now be serving as Associate Ministers to Chowan University and Instructors in Religion... sounds pretty freakin sweet to me :) oh yeah.. and don't forget the beautiful groomsmen... errr... something like that
I'm pretty sure that is the best man (the groom's brother) in a speedo, cumber bun, and black dress socks... great entertainment huh? That poor kid in the background is probably going to be scared
I was pretty excited about having a dance with Darryl... seeing as how the last time we danced was at our wedding so it was about time!
The End :)
